But there are rumors spreading all over the internet that Apple is soon going to launch the new kit on March 6. Reportedly iPhone’s upcoming update, 1.1.4 is expected to include the software development kit.

Apparently the iPhone manufacturer is also expected to unveil some exciting new enterprise features helping the device to work more closely with corporate e-mail software.

Software Development Kit is nothing but an open platform for developers allowing them to create their own applications.

During the announcement of the SDK kit in October 2007, Steve Jobs had said, “we’re trying to do two diametrically opposed things at once—provide an advanced and open platform to developers while at the same time protect iPhone users from viruses, malware, privacy attacks, etc.”

Well, that might be the reason of delay of the SDK kit. However, users can decide on how hard Apple has worked for protecting the iPhone from viruses, malware, privacy attacks, only after the release of the SDK.
